・go = 行くと考えるのではなく「進んでいく」と認識した方がいい。
・「どのように市場調査は進んでいるんですか?」

・to 以降は smart の説明・根拠になっている。「そのブームを始めるなんて賢かった」
・例:He must be rich to buy that car. 「彼はお金持ちに違いない」←この根拠が to buy that car になっている。
*3 Rumor has it that they're coming out with a new product.
・「(ライバル会社が)新製品を開発しているという噂がある」
・Rumor has it = 直訳「噂はそれを持っている」
・it 「それ」の説明が that 以下にある。
・" Rumor has it that... 「噂ではこんなことになっているよ」と覚えてしまおう。
*4 not very
・very をつけないで That's not original.「それはオリジナルじゃないよ」というとキツく感じてしまう。
・That's not very original.「それは"とてもオリジナル"というわけではないね」と部分否定的なやんわりした表現になる。
