「そうなの？」「そうなんだ」という相づちのフレーズ。

「そうなの？」と相づちを打つには？

⇒　Is that right?

※ 直訳すると「それは正しいのですか」となるけど、これ自体はとても軽い相づちで「あーそうなんだ」くらい。

※今回の会話のように上がり調子でいうと「えーそうなの？！」と驚きの表現になる。

※他に「なるほど」という言い方で" I see." があるけど、違いは、

　I see.　会話がずばっと終わる感じ。

　Is that right?　もっと会話に興味を持ってくれてる感じがある。

※ "right"を正しく発音しないと"light" " Is that light?（あれは光なんですか？/それは軽いですか？）" と捉えられてしまうので注意。

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Bettina: Look at what ???. Otoshidama envelopes.

Asami: You'll give your daughter otoshidama?

Bettina: Yeah, Grace said that she wants one. P??? I don't know how much money to give her.

Asami: Well, our family rule is 1,000 yen for first grade, 2,000 yen for second grade, and so on.（そうね わが家のルールは1年生は1,000円 ２年生は2,000円って感じね）

Bettina: That sounds about right. Grace said that one kid in her class got 10,000 yen!

Asami: Is that right?

Bettina: I think 2,000 yen is enough for Grace. Maybe even 1,000 yen. I'll talk to my husband ??? about it.

Asami: Good idea.
