何も考えつきませんという感じのフレーズ。

「さっぱり分かりません」と伝えるには？

⇒　I have no idea.

※知らないことを強調するときの表現。

※くだけた言い方で、" No idea." という言い方もある。

※ただ知らないよと伝えるだけじゃなくて、見当もつかない・全く思いあたらないという戸惑いの気持ちも含まれている。

※参考：他の I have no ～　という表現

　　　　・I have no plans.　予定はありません。

　　　　・I have no time.　時間がありません。

　　　　　He says he has no time, but he has a lot of money. 

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Bob: Oh there you are, Makoto-san. I have a huge problem.

Makoto: Oh, what's the matter? Calm down. Have a seat.

Bob: I can't calm down. My wife left me.

Makoto: What? Annnica left you? That's why?

Bob: Well, we had an argument last night.（昨夜ちょっと言い争いをしてしまって）

       ※ have an argument　口喧嘩をする

Makoto: And then?

Bob: When I woke up this morning, she was gone.

Makoto: You don't know where she went?

Bob: If I knew, I wouldn't be here. Look. She left this note. Can you tell me what it says?

Makoto: Is this Switsh? I have no idea.

Bob: I can't read it either. What am I going to do?
