「そんなはずはありません」と言うには？

⇒　It can't be.

※ It can't be true. それは本当のはずはない というのを短くした表現と言われている。

※ can't = ～と言う可能性はない という強い否定を表す。

※例：行きたかった大学に落ちたときに現実を受け入れられなくて

　　　It can't be!（ありえない！）

※他の「ありえない」と驚いたときの表現

　例：I don't believe it.（信じられない）

　例：Stop it!（うそでしょ！？）

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Brenda: Hi, Makoto.

Makoto: Hello, Brenda. So, how's your new job? Are you enjoying yet?

Brenda: I'm getting used it. I work with a lot of great teachers.

Makoto: Teachers? Do you work at school?

Brenda: Didn't I tell you? I am a manager at an English conversation school now.（私は今英会話学校の経営者なのよ）

Makoto: An English conversation school?

Brenda: Yes. Take a look this picture. See? There are the wonderful people I work with.

Makoto: No way. It can't be.

Brenda: What are you talking about?

Makoto: This is my daughter.

Brenda: Your daughter? Miku is your daughter?

Makoto: Yes, she is.

Brenda: I don't believe it!
