「ちゃんと向き合いなさい」という感じの表現。

「現実を見つめなさい」と伝えるには？

⇒　Let's face it.

※" face "は名詞で「顔」という意味もあるんですが、ここでは、顔を向ける＝「（事実や問題を）直視する」という動詞として使われている。

※"Let's face it." だけだと相手に自分が伝えようとしている現実が伝わらないかもしれないので、後ろに具体的な内容を付け加えることが多い。

※例：＜友達が高価なものを買おうとしてるとことに＞

　　　Let's face it. I don't think you have enough money.（現実を見なさい。そんなにお金ないでしょ）

　　　＜仕事を後回しにしようとしている同僚に＞

           Let's face it. Let's finish it now.（現実をみて。すぐやった方がいいよ。）

　　　＜アイドルと付き合いたいと言っている友達に＞

　　　Let's face it. You're dreaming.（現実を見て。夢見てるんじゃないよ。）

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Makoto: I figured out what those said, Bob.

Bob: What does it say?

Makoto: "Enjoy the rest of your life with your bug friend."（この後の人生 昆虫のお友達とお楽しみください）

               What does that mean?

Bob: Well. I secretly bought this without telling Annnica.

Makoto: How much was it?

Bob: Maybe about 80,000 yen.

Makoto: You spent 80,000 yen on a butterfly?

Bob: But this is really special!

Makoto: Let's face it. You have to chose between Annica and bug. So which is it?

Bob: Annnica, of course.
