Lesson47:待ちきれない気持ちを伝える

よく使うフレーズ。日本語でもよく言う「待ちきれない」というけれど、そのまま英語にした表現。

待ちきれない気持ちを伝えるには？

⇒　I can't wait!

※ よりカジュアルに " Can't wait. " と言うこともできる。

※後に何が待ちきれないのか具体的に言う表現を付け加えることもできる。

　例：I can't wait to meet your friend! 

　　　I can't see my father.

           I can't wait to see you.

※待ちきれないものやイベントを " for "を使って表すこともできす。

　例：I can't wait for the light displays.

           I can't wait for Christmas dinner.

           I can't wait for this year to end.（今年が終わるのが 待ちきれない）

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Kazu: Hey, Miku! What are you smiling about?

Miku: Oh,  was I smiling? Well, I was looking at this adorable picture. See?

Kazu: Cute!

Miku: It's a boy. My sister just had her baby four days ago.（お姉ちゃんが4日前に産んだところなのよ）

Kazu: Well, congrats!（それは おめでとう！） So, you're an aunt now.（じゃあ君は 叔母さんってわけだね）

Miku: That's right, aunt Miku.

Kazu: Have you met him yet?

Miku: Not yet. My sister lives in nagoya. So I haven't had a chance to visit.

Kazu: Oh, too bad.

Miku: I'm going there this weekend. I can't wait!

Kazu: The baby is the boy, right? I have the perfect name. How about Kazu?

Miku: No way.
