「あなたは私のことばを持っています」のような表現。

「約束します」と伝えるには？

⇒　You have my word.

※「約束します」「信じてください」という決まり文句。

※ word = 約束・保障 という意味もある。

※" I promise. " は子どもがよく使う。

　" You have my word. "はより重い感じ。プロポーズのときに使ったりする。

※例：Harry is a man of his word.（ハリーは約束を守る男です）

　例：Harry, but you gave me your word.（ハリー あなたは私に約束したでしょ<なのに裏切った>）

　例：I'll keep my word.（約束は守ります）

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Eddy: You said that the station is close by, right?

Makoto: That's right. And the rent is low, because it's an old apartment.

Eddy: You know, I felt lucky as soon as I walked in the door. （ここへ入った瞬間 いい予感がしたんですよ）OK. I've desided.

Makoto: Really, thank you very much.

Eddy: But wait.

Makoto: Is there a problem?

Eddy: The owner might say "no" to me.

Makoto: Why do you say that?

Eddy: Before, an owner told me "no" right before I sighed the contract.（以前 契約書にサインする直前にオーダーが「ダメだ」と言ってきたことがある）※right beforeI = 直前に     I think it was because I'm not Japanese.

Makoto: I'll talk to the owner. He won't say "no". You have my word.

Eddy: Great, thank you. My new life starts next month. I can't wait live here!

Makoto: Please keep your voice down.
