「やってますって！」と伝えるには？

⇒　I'm trying!

※直訳すると「私は今試みてる最中です」、つまり「やっているところだよ」と、相手から何かをせかされたときに自分はもう頑張っているんだといことを伝えたいときに使える表現。

※言い方で意味合いが変わるので、優しく言おう！

※後ろに to + 動詞の原形 をつけて何を頑張っているのか具体的に言える。

　例：I'm trying to memoraize it.（暗記しようとしているわ）

　例：I'm trying to make it up to you.（埋め合わせをしようとしています）

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Makoto: So, that's the lucky coin from your grandfather?

Rajeev: Yes, he gave it to me when I was little.

Makoto: Interesting!

Rajeev: When I have to make a big decision, this elephant gives me the answer.（重大な決断をするべきとき この象が答えをくれるんだ）

Makoto: Can I ask it a question?

Rajeev: Of course.

Makoto: Well... This office is getting old. Should I move?

Rajeev: OK, I flip the coin. If the elephant comes up, you should move.

Makoto: Sounds good.

Rajeev: Here we go! Oh, no! The coin fell under there.

Makoto: Ah, dear.

Rajeev: I can see the coin.

Makoto: Here???

Rajeev: Can you lift it a little more?

Makoto: I'm trying!

Rajeev: I got it!

Makoto: Thank goodness. It's lucky we found it.
