※相手からあまり良くない知らせを聞いたときに、「それは残念だね」「お気の毒に」と同情する気持ちを伝える表現。

※同じ表現で、" I'm sorry to hear that. "（それは残念ですね）もある。

＜ストーリー＞耳コピなのでかなり不正確です(???は聞き取れなかった部分)。緑部分は正確です。

Nor: Hi, Makoto san.

Ahmad: Hi.

Makoto: Nor and Ahmad. Is something wrong?

Nor: Makoto san, you know about Arisaka6, don't you?

Makoto: Sure. They're a popular idol group, right?

Nor: Right. Ahmad and I are big fans of them.

Makoto: You both are? That's nice.

Ahmad: They're going to have a consert soon, but the tickets are sold out.

Makoto: Oh, dear. That's too bad.

Nor: We really wanted to go.

Ahmad: I'm sorry. I was too slow, and the tickets sold out right away.（僕がノロノロしてたらチケットがあっという間に完売しちゃって）

Makoto: I'm sorry to hear that.（それは残念ですね）Wait a minute. Tickets are on sale again next week. See?

Nor: Next week? So we can still buy tickets? There's great news.

Makoto: I'm happy for you.
